My own view is that U.S. Shale Oil is going to be eyeball deep in debt doo doo once interest rates increase. No more "money for nothing" and previous debts still need to be paid. My own term for this mess is the U.S. Shale Oil industry neverending hamster wheel of debt. Run hamster run!

In fact, these shale oil companies are generally deep in debt and taking on more debt. Now that global oil prices are higher, shale oil companies (like all other oil firms) are pressured to invest Drilling, dollars & debt: Colorado’s oil and gas industry is leveraged to the hilt.
